Congratulations to the Sedalia Bombers on winning the MINK South Division!

Welcome
Welcome to the new and improved home of the St. Louis Monarchs.  We think that you will find our new website more exciting and full of information.  New website.  New league.  New beginning.  Come out and watch the Monarchs "dirtbag" style of baseball.

Caveman Signing
The St. Louis Monarchs would like to congratulate their starting pitcher Tyler Bress on being picked up by the Hannibal Cavemen for the remainder of their season.  This was Tyler's first year with the Monarchs and he did an excellent job on the mound, in the field and at the plate and was a pleasure to have on the team.  He will definitely be missed.  The Monarchs wish him the best of luck.

2009 Season
The 2009 Summer Season is coming to a close.  The Monarchs are looking for players for the Fall and possibly for 2010.  Interested players should complete the "Free Agent" page on this website.  Players not returning in the Fall need to return their jerseys ASAP.
2008 Fines: $5.50

"The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime."  Babe Ruth

"You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time."  Jim Bouton

“Being a Dirtbag is great, it’s a great group of guys. We’re just players who like to get dirty and play hard. We’ll always battle every inning, every at bat – it’s just a hard-nosed way to play ball.” Jeremy Reed

"Be the change that you want to see in the world." Mohandas Gandhi

"I just got one last thing, I urge all of you, all of you, to enjoy your life, the precious moments you have. To spend each day with some laughter and some thought, to get you're emotions going." Jim Valvano

“Being a Dirtbag means giving 100 percent in everything you do...going all-out on every play, and always putting the team before yourself.” Bobby Crosby

"
I cannot command winds and weather." Horatio Nelson

"
Age is a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter." Satchel Paige

"Being a Dirtbag means you bring all you have to the table in every single game. It doesn't matter the conditions or who you're playing or where you're playing. You have to get down and get dirty and do what you have to do to win. It means giving up an at-bat to move the runner over, to hit the sac fly, giving it all until the moment you walk off the field." Adam Heether
